Charles Benny Hartman went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Charles was an avid golfer and loved playing with his friends, "The McVitty Bunch" at Blue Hills Golf Course. He thrived on spending time with his family, especially his grand kids. His daily routine was to go to Burger King on Williamson Road to drink coffee, talk to his friends, and feed the birds. He was preceded in death by his precious daughter "Missy" Ann, mother and father, Addie and Ollie Hartman, brothers, Alvin and Walter, and sisters, Faye and Virginia. Surviving are the love of his life his wife, Phyllis Hartman, son and wife, Todd and Alisha Hartman; his beautiful granddaughter, Melissa Haley Hartman, wonderful grandsons, Will Charles Hartman and Trevor Stone Werle; brothers, Ty Hartman and Jack "Mickey" Hartman; brother-in-law, Doug Wainscott and family; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lottie Hartman, Martha and Jimmy Yeary, Carolyn and Wallace Jamison and their families; special nieces, Betty and Ed Wray, Peggy Kidd, Teresa Hartman, Sharon Hartman and their families; nephews, Dickie Jenkins and Brian and Gwen Hartman; daughters, Brenda Pendleton and Elaine Thomas; special in laws, Willie and Linda Ratliff, and Andy and Aneta Ratliff and family; special friends, Pastor Jesse Bass and New Covenant Assembly of God. A private memorial service has been planned for close family and friends. For more information, please contact Todd or Alisha Hartman.
