Nancy Lemon Maile, 81, of Roanoke passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 due to complications from cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard L. Lemon and her mother, Annie Grant Lemon.

Nancy is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Jimmy Maile (retired from Appalachian Power Company) brothers, Bernard and wife, Ruby (Dunbar) Lemon, Reggie and wife, Margie (Turner) Lemon; brother-in-law, Alvis Hardy and wife, June (Maile) Hardy. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, Dan, Mark and Adam Lemon, MarAnna (Lemon) McKone and Brett Winter Lemon, Phillip and Greg Hardy and Debbie (Hardy) Straw; and many great nieces and great nephews.

Nancy retired as an Executive Secretary at Shenandoah Life Insurance Company after forty years of service. One of hers and Jimmy’s many loves were their camping trips to Myrtle Beach.

Nancy was so appreciative of all the cards, food, concern and prayers from family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. David A. Kirk. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
