Obituary of Gloria Jean Stinnett

Gloria “Mama Jean” Stinnett, 75, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Stinnett, Sr., daughter, Tammy Stinnett Goad, Son, Joseph E. Stinnett, brothers, Mike and Buck Litchford.

Mama Jean loved everyone,  never turned anyone away and was a mama to many

.Surviving are her children, Janet Stinnett Pillis and husband Mark, Thomas E. Stinnett, Jr. and wife Callie Sue; mother, Carol Litchford Bowen; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sisters, Ann, Linda, Diane, Sandra, Penny, and Wanda; brothers, Jimmy and Mitch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
