Obituary of Genevieve Lemoin Fickey

Genevieve Lemoin Fickey 96 of Boones Mill passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017. She was born in October of 1920 in West Virginia to the late Ernest and Mae Jackson Rose, and was preceded by her husband Willis E. Fickey, Sr.

Mrs. Fickey, “Grandma” was a fabulous cook, homemaker, and loved to decorate, enjoyed roller coasters, telling jokes and stories to all her grandchildren. However, mostly she enjoyed life and visiting with family and friends. All who knew her will dearly miss her.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David L. Fickey, Sr. (Mary Jane), Edward R. Fickey; grandchildren, Schelly A. Fickey Fairchild (AJ), David L. Fickey, Jr. (Darlene), Shawn A. Fickey, Heath A. Fickey (Kerran); great grandchildren, David L. Fickey, III (Cassie), Riley A. Fickey; great great grandchild, Konrad D. Fickey, and Arianna E. Fickey; brother, Ernest Rose, Jr.; Along with many nieces, and nephews.
