Obituary of Thelma Lee Manning

Thelma L. Manning, 90, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 26, 2017. She was preceded by her parents, David and Cora Arnold Thurston, husband, Lewis Manning, and grandchildren, Chad Manning and Christina Mullins. Mrs. Manning was a former resident of Edinburgh Square Apartments.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Webb, Sandy Klein and husband Tom, Steven Manning, and Diane Martin and husband Donald; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Dorothy Byrd. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
