I grew up with Butch and his family in Hollins during the ‘60s & ‘70s. After we graduated from Northside, Butch generously took me under his wing, as they say, and I had the opportunity to work with him on some of his GC jobs. He was always patient and kind in showing me how and what needed to be done. I remember Butch as an all around great guy, and I am very sorry to hear that he passed. My deepest condolences to all of his family - David.

I am so sorry for your loss of Butch, definitely gone too soon. I went through school with him, and he was always very nice, kindhearted and quiet. I pray God will heal your broken hearts, and may you find peace in the memories you have of him. He will never be forgotten.
With sympathy,
Trena Turner Lewis

We are so very sorry to hear of Butch's passing. I often remember delightful get-togethers with our families as we grew up. Those were such fun times that made for warm memories. He has left behind a fine family. Please know that he will be sorely missed by many. - Carolyn

I am heartbroken to say the least... Butch always left you better than he found you and always made time to help others. He always talked about how much he loved his family and never had a bad word to say about anyone. And oh could he make you laugh! It will be hard to quit looking for him in his old white truck. You could always tell it was Butch because his head pretty much touched the roof of the truck. He was an outstanding man, both literally and figuratively, but was who he was and never seemed to be concerned with the material things of this world. Gone way too soon... I will miss you my friend and neighbor but I know I will see you again someday. Thanks for some great memories that will always make me smile.
