Obituary of Thomas Clinton Fowler, Jr.

Thomas C. Fowler, Jr., 84, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother William Fowler and sister Georgia Shepard. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Fowler; children, Larry Fowler, Pamela Overbay and husband Gary, Clayton T. Fowler and wife Gail, Wanda Padgett and husband Doug, and David Fowler and wife Wynona; grandchildren, Jessica Preston, Douglas Padgett, Heather Manchester, Courtney Ferguson, and Josh Overbay and wife Emily; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Elena, Harper, Logan, Griff, and Blake. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army in Thomas’s name. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alan Mason officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
