Even though Edith was a retired teacher she never stopped teaching and encouraging you to continue with school or to thrive in life. She was an amazing woman and I am grateful to have met her in my life. She gave me life long advice through out the time I knew her and I will cherish it all. She was such a wise person, and very caring to the everyday stranger, she took you under her wings and guided you. God Bless you Edith, Love Dessie & Mark Hall

Edith Goff was a very special lady. We met her when we moved to Leesburg in 1970.
My husband, Phil, taught math with her at Leesburg Junior High for 3 years and that is when our friendship began. When our son Brian was born she was there to help me in any way she could. She would come over to see him and always read to him. When my daughter was born three years later she came over to our home and stayed with Brian while Phil and I went to the hospital. I always told Alissa and Brian that she was their "Leesburg" grandmother as their grandparents lived out of state.
I taught at Leesburg High School and we certainly saw a void after she left. Many teachers who only knew her by name said they certainly could tell when the students had not been fortunate enough to have Mrs. Goff as a teacher.
I have thought of her many times in the past year, wishing I could write and tell her how much she meant to us all. I'm so sorry that she suffered for two years after her stroke.
Please know that we all loved your mother!!!!

Mrs. Goff was my eight grade Math teacher years ago and I must say, I have never forgotten her or the love she imparted while teaching her students. She was loved and respected. It is my sincere prayer that the Lord will strengthen each of you during your hour of bereavement.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Goff was one of my favorite teachers. I remember when she first moved to Leesburg, it was across the street from me. I went over to help her move in. She was so nice. Then a few weeks later, I found that she was my 7th grade math teacher.
I have missed seeing her over the many years, but her school and life lessons will stay with me for a life time.....

I knew Edith well when we were both teaching at Leesburg Junior High. I remember meeting and hearing about you. I was sorry when she left Leesburg. She was a fine lady.
