Ben Everett Rogers, Jr. of Roanoke was born May 27, 1934 in Middletown, VA and passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired as Area Mgr., for S.C.I. (Service Corporation International) & General Mgr.of Lotz Funeral Homes.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene, two daughters: Debbie Rogers, Salem; Jo Ann Hafey & husband Joe, Salem; two grandsons: Jefferson Baker & wife Holly, Arlington; Ethan Hafey & girlfriend Amanda Newman, Roanoke; two sisters: Mary Jo Jolley & husband Preston, Inman, SC; Cheryl Ann Rogers, Chesapeake; family friend Jean Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the entire 6 West nursing team and staff at Lewis-Gale Medical Center and Gentle Shepherd Hospice.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605; Windsor Hills United Methodist Church, 3591 Windsor Rd. SW, Roanoke, VA 24018; or Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 6045 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.
