Bud Boitnott, Jr. 91 of Roanoke passed away on Monday April 17, 2017. His wife Doris Boitnott, and a son Lewis Boitnott preceded him. Mr. Boitnott served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II participating in the Invasion of Normandy. He retired from C& P Telephone Company as a Test Board Operator after many years of service. He enjoyed his life and everything he did. A very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are his two sons, Coland T. Boitnott and wife Linda of Troutville, Earl Boitnott and wife Mellisa of Shawsville; daughters, Diane Boitnott and Jeff Burd of PA; Mary Moore and husband David, and Linda Roberts. three granddaughters, Michelle, Coleen, and Brandy; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie and Maddy; three brothers, Larry, Richard, and Robert. A special thank you to Leslie Howell for your love and devotion to his care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mr. Boitnott’s memory. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill, VA.
