Bonnie Heldreth Compton of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 14, 2017. She was preceded by her parents, Beulah “Boots” and Bud Heldreth of Bluewell, WV and a brother, Tommy Heldreth of Bluefield, WV.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Roy Compton; children, Jerry Compton and wife Donna, Kim Suter and husband Mike, and Aric Compton; grandchildren, Brian and Chris Suter, Lindsey and Matthew Compton; loyal sister and “shopping buddy”, Billie Akers.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Mark Washington and the Rev. Brian Gordon. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
