Dr. Johnson was a Christian man and dedicated to Northview UMC. On many occasions he approached me, as head of one project or another, and offered his financial assistance. I was aware of his failing health and yet shocked at his passing.
He and I spoke several times of his disappointment in having to quit the choir after his voice gave out.
Amanda and I pass on our deepest sympathies to his family and regret that we cannot attend his services as we are out of town.
We will miss his presence among us and cherish the memories of his time with us.
