Obituary of Callie Roxanne Hill

Callie R. Hill, 54, of Roanoke, passed away, Friday, March 31, 2017. Callie was preceded in death by her mother Roxie A. Hill, and brother WT Hill. Callie was a graduate of Amherst High School and Radford University. She worked for Solstas Laboratories (Formerly Carilion Lab) for 23 years as a Medical Technologist. She was survived by her father William Tinsley Hill of Lynchburg; half-sister Lisa Hill; half-brother, David Hill of Lynchburg; aunts and uncles, Raymond Allen and wife Ann, Bettie Sue Jennings “Aunt Sue Sue”, Robert Allen and wife Betty, Edward Allen and wife Becky, Kenneth Allen and wife Diana, Henry Allen and wife Valeria, Joe Allen and wife Rachel, and Yvonne Allen; special friends, Trish Simpkins and all her friends from the lab; pets, Gigi and Cowboy Trace. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Callie’s name to either The American Heart Association or Angels of Assisi. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel.
