Please accept my condolences on the death of Callie. She was my neighbor for all these years and I will miss seeing her. Her struggles the last year have been enormous and now she is in a better place. Prayers to all the family and friends.

"Everyone has a friend during each stage of life. But only lucky ones have the same friend in all stages of life." I was blessed to have Callie in every stage of my life. From the beginning of 2nd grade at Amelon Elementary, sleep overs at the house on Woodland, my first homemade pizza at the house on 60 west. I remember visiting her grandma Hill in Amherst and the Allen family in Madison Heights, to the beach trip after graduation, chatting about going off to college and being roommates. We worked together with Roxie at Miller and Rhodes when the store took inventory. We choose different paths and never became roommates, but stayed in touch. I loved to hear about her trips with Roxie, Cruises and concerts, her painting, her job, she excelled in everything she did. She was there for my wedding and part of my life when I was raising my three girls. She was always happy to take a moment to catch up. I would occasionally visit her in Roanoke to grab a bite to eat or a visit at her house. She was always full of life and wanted to share what new was happening in her life and to see what was happening in my life. I will truly missed Callie.
