Obituary of Harry John Schneider

Harry John Schneider, a resident of Vinton, VA, at the age of 69, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2017. He was born in Dobbs Ferry, New York, on June 2017. His parents Harry and Madge Schneider predecease him. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alice Schneider; his two daughters, Wendy Schneider, and Andrea Mido; his stepdaughter, Elizabeth Quick; his stepson, Truman J Hill, Jr; 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He attended Abilene Christian University with a BS in biology, and Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Masters of Business Administration. He was a Major in the Medical Corps of the US Army, in 5th Special Forces, and he was a college professor, a business manager, as well as an author. Also was a long-standing member of the Church of Christ, and a devoted family man. He loved fishing, golf, football, and softball. A man of many talents who fought for his country, he possessed much wit and humor, and nurtured and loved animals all of his life. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
