Walter Phillip Obenshain 69, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was a retired diesel mechanic and truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Obenshain; three children, Kim, Kelly, and Phil W. Saunders; his sister, Loreili Martin and husband, Walter; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces, Robin, Lisa, and Lori (Pete).
A special thanks to the staff at Lewis Gale Hospital and the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for the special care provided Mr. Obenshain during his illness.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday March 13, 2017 in Belmont Cemetery 1500 Peppers Ferry Road Christiansburg by the Rev. Mark Washington. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
