Keith Allen Vickroy, 73, of Roanoke went home to join his wife in heaven on Friday, March 3, 2017. In addition to his wife Mary, he was preceded by his parents, Ruth and Merrill Vickroy, siblings, Gary, Susan, Ann, Rebecca, Merrill David, Mary Beth, and a niece Robbie Vickroy.
Mr. Vickroy retired after honorably serving his country for 30 years in the U S Navy. Following his retirement he enjoyed working in his greenhouses until his health declined.
Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Vickroy; three grandsons; step children, Robert Eberhard, Richard Eberhard and wife Geraldine, Margaret Semas and husband Joe, David Eberhard and wife Kelly, Ruth Tremaine and husband Ted, Fred Eberhard and wife Pam, Victoria Dube; brothers, James Vickroy and wife Sandy, Tom Vickroy and Rhonda; sister, Janet Martin and husband Barry; sister-in-law, Carol Vickroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
