Brenda Virts Hogan, 72, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at her home with her best friend, Melissa Painter, by her side.
Her brave battle with cancer was an inspiration to her friends and family in the last few years. In her last months of life, she found joy in her love of painting, which provided her lovies with mementos of her beautiful soul.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Virts and daughter, Laura Callahan. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Patricia Smith, Michael Virts, and Steve Virts; children, Cindy Kyle and Jay Hogan; grandchildren, Leann Kyle, Taylor Callahan, and Archer Mesner-Hogan; and great-grandson Link Callahan.
Per family’s wishes, services will be private. Arrangements handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 366-0707.
