Robert N. “Bob” Craft 77, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents William Guy and Maybelle Patton Craft, and a sister Peggy Craft Young. Bob was an avid outdoorsman with a special love of hunting and fishing. In addition to his love of the outdoors he enjoyed raising and tending to his collection of orchids. He was a member of the Lynchburg Chapter of Bassmasters and retired after 43 years of service with Noland Supply Company.Surviving are his wife, Rheta Carr Craft; children, Rebecca Jo Hershman and husband Eddie, William Paul Craft and wife Samantha, Stephen Scott Craft and wife Holly, and Bryan David Craft; grandchildren, Ethan, Preston and MacKenzie Craft; Bobby Reed Brown and Jeremy Brown; sister, Jackie Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.There will be a gathering of friends and family from 5-9 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Private interment will be in Andrews Chapel Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.
