Linkous, Leo V.Leo V.”Papa” Linkous 87, of Roanoke passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo V. Linkous, Sr., mother, Clara Udy Linkous, sister, Eleanor Craig; and brothers, Earl and Donald Linkous.
Mr. Linkous retired from Rainbow Bread Company after 38 years of service and was a former employee of the Virginia Truck Center.
Surviving are his wife, Pansy (Pat) Linkous; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian Divers-Stewart, husband Brian Stewart, and their pet Bozo; step children, Eraina Conner and husband Tom, Karen Williams, Randy Waldron and wife Bonnie; seven step grandchildren; sixteen step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, James (Sonny) Dobbins, and Bruce Gordon.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m Friday, February 17, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
