Brent and Chris,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing your mom, she was one of my favorite patients. Always smiling and upbeat! I looked forward to her visits because she always had a story to tell! I was shocked and saddened to see that she had passed. Holding you both in my prayers. Love you guys! Renee

Butch, Brent and Christine,
My thoughts are with you daily. Helen was such a beautiful, kind hearted person. I so enjoyed meeting and spending time with her when we had our family gathering in CT. You could feel the genuine love she had for her family in ever word and action. She was so sweet to always stay in touch with us from that point on with little notes and cards throughout the year. I am sure she touch so many lives with those kind and thoughtful gestures. Love you all, Tracy

From the moment you met Helen you were pulled into her life. Helen's demeanor was of a kind, warm and welcoming woman. This was all with a twist of quick witted humor. She was genuine. As much as we all are sad, I can imagine how happy heaven is to have such a beautiful soul back with them. I'm thankful for the time I was given to enjoy Helen.

Dear Laughorne Family ~ a Family that I've held dear for many many years & who resides closely in my heart. My Deepest Heartfelt Sympathies are with each one of you at this most very difficult time, From the time I met you I felt welcomed & part of the family ~ Helen "Mom" had a gift of being completely present in the moment, taking it all in...& sharing the love she had inside with each & every person that was part of her journey. I feel truly blessed to have met you all at a time when I was young so that I could adapt much of what I learned from watching the love Butch & Helen shared together into my own life with family & friends. I have always admired their ability to carry that love & humor with them throughout their many years of marriage & watch that as well be passed down through Brent. The love that you have for Chris is a perfect combination of all that love & humor you saw growing up & through your adult years. What an amazing way to honor your Mom. To live as she did as her love & spirit are right beside you throughout your days. Butch "Dad", I've always loved your grin, your way of showing your love & admiration towards your wonderful wife & your kindness to those around you. My wish for you & Brent ~ to find peace knowing your Bride & Mom was greeted by Brian with open arms & now you both have 2 angels on either side of you always. I take comfort knowing she was surrounded by all that love each of you have & was content & went peacefully with the knowledge that you all will continue to have that amazing strength & love for each other. Chris, I too have been blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you, not in person (yet) but to have had the time getting to know you throughout the years & becoming your sister friend. To know that the sweet family that I hold dear has you & your love hugging them each day, warms my heart in so many ways. I am grateful to you that you reached out to me...giving me the opportunity to send my thoughts & prayers that she may have a peaceful passage. What a beautiful gift you gave to Helen....knowing her son has such an amazing loving wife who is right by his side with so much love & tenderness as well as by her husbands side. I honestly have learned so much from each & every one of you & I'll continue to cherish all those gifts throughout my days & live in such a way of presence & gratitude. Sending my love, thoughts & prayers to each of you. Until we meet again Helen "Mom" .....love you.

The world lost an amazing soul and Heaven gained one, Mama Helen was truly one of the most loving, kind, sweet, funny, and caring women I have ever known. Just watching her and Butch together gave me hope that fairy tales do come true and that soul mates do exist, they were so very perfect together! I made the comment to Chris that the world needed more Helen's to be a better place and she had the best response.....she said we should strive to be more like her to make her proud, so that's my promise to my Laughorne family, I am so very blessed to have you as my best friends and my family as well, I love you all...we will forever and always love you and miss you Mama Helen, and strive to honor your memory on a daily basis!

Mom, It has been nearly a week since you slipped away from us. I miss you so very much, and I always will. I promised you that I will always do my best to watch out for and protect "our boys".I take that promise very seriously. I will do my best everyday to make you proud, and to live up to the love you so freely gave to me. You have given me so much, and I will cherish each and every lesson you taught me. Your smile will forever brighten my soul, and your laughter will forever resound through my heart. I know you are up in Heaven watching over us,guiding us through our loss of your light. I can never thank you enough for all you have done for me. I love you Mom, and I forever will!

My deepest condolences to you Butch and Brent. I worked with your Mom for many years. Her family was her greatest joy and she was "mom" to so many of the teenagers she worked with. I remember her beloved blue/green restored Impala, I was there the day she received the news about Brian. May your souls be rejoicing now together, with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
