George Thomas Crowe 92 of Roanoke formerly of Alderson, WV. went peacefully in to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 4, 2017. His mother, Helen Maude Crowe, and father, Thomas Early Crowe, preceded him along with a son, David Crowe.
George proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and was a very special loving man who is loved by so many.
Surviving are his children, Thomas Crowe and his wife Star of Roanoke, Helen Daniel of Roanoke, Gary Crowe, Sr. and wife Kim of Ohio, Gail Doss and husband Dennis of Roanoke. A very special brother, John C. Crowe of Ohio, siblings, Laura Jones, Kermit Crowe, Clifford Crowe, Margie Wildblood; grandchildren, Matthew Daniel and wife Elizabeth, Kimberly Daniel Liesén, Thomas Wesley Crowe, Jr., Lee Doss, Mark Doss, Jessica Doss, Nikki Frank, Gary Crowe, Jr., Heather Munsey. Along with numerous great grandchildren. A special nephew, Melvin Crowe, and wife Debbie of NC.
The family would like thank the Veterans Care Center for their care and compassion Mr. Crowe received in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Veterans Care Center, c/o Patty Smith, 4550 Shenandoah Avenue, Roanoke, Va. 24017 in his memory.
