Obituary of Jeremy Joseph Ferris

Jeremy Joseph Ferris 26 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 21, 2016. His Nana, Thelma Bass, Paw-Paw, Joseph Bass, Sr., and a brother, Drake Nalley, preceded Jeremy. Jeremy was a 2010 graduate of Glenvar High School, where he became an avid Glenvar High School Football fan. In addition, when Jeremy was able, he could be found being one of the “guys” at Roanoke County Fire and Rescue. Jeremy a very loving and caring son, brother, grandson, and friend who will be missed dearly by all. Left to cherish his memory are his mom, Tisa Nalley, and step dad, Brian Nalley; dad, Richard Ferris, Jr. and step-mom, Chris; sisters, Nevaeh Nalley, Desirea Nalley; brothers, Dalton Nalley, and Jacob Ferris; along with uncle, Billy Ferris; aunt Debbie Dudley and fiancé Lynn Tolley; cousins, Reuben Ferris, Ryder Ferris, Gerald Cochran, Jr., and Jennifer Agee, Matthew, David, and Autumn McDaniel; grandma, Pearl Nalley, and grandma and granddaddy, Frances and Richard Ferris; and a uncle, Jeff Allen, aunt, Tonya McDaniel, and all his friends he cared about on the Glenvar Football team and at Roanoke County Fire and Rescue. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Frank Saulsbury, and Monica Lawrence at UVA Hospital for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle, Washington in his name for their care of Jeremy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am Tuesday December 27, 2016 at House of Prayer Church, 2521 Portland Avenue, Roanoke with Pastors Gary Butcher and Steve Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday December 26, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm at House of Prayer Church.
