Ruby Aline Abbey 96 of Roanoke passed away Wednesday December 14, 2016. She was born in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of the late Edward and Ella Abbey. Aline grew up in Tennessee. She made her living as a fashion Illustrator for numerous department stores. She settled in Roanoke, Virginia in 1959.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she used her time wisely teaching many people the Bible’s promise that God’s Kingdom will bring peace to the earth.
Left to cherish her memory are many friends, and those who are her spiritual children.
Deep appreciation is expressed to the staff of Snyder’s Nursing Home for the love and care that they gave Miss Abbey.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3495 Belle Avenue NE, Roanoke, Virginia on Wednesday December 21, 2016 at 1:00pm. Interment will be private.
