Anne Shirley Altizer Otey, 79, of Salem went home to be with the Lord and other family members Tuesday, November 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward "Ed" Otey and a brother Sonny Altizer.
Surviving are her sisters, Charlotte Pavlos of Tampa, Florida; Masel "Toots" Zimmerman of Texola, Oklahoma; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Cammie Otey, Ray and Sandra Otey; son, E'Drick Otey; grandson, Quintin Otey; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
