Obituary of Michael "Shane" Jones

Michael “Shane” Jones 27 of Roanoke went to meet Jesus unexpectedly Monday November 21, 2016. His grandfathers, Rick Folden, and Richard Jones, grandmother Connie Mills, and stepfather, Shawn Holland, his great grandparents, Glen and Ruby Gibson, Boyd and Dorothy Folden, and Lucille Brown, preceded Shane. Left to cherish Shane’s memory are his mother, Kim Folden Mills, and stepfather, David Mills; his father, Marvin Jones; a brother, DaNaz Mills; grandparents, Norma and Bob Altice, Geraldine Jones, Jean Mills, Mary Stone, and Rev. and Mrs. Agie Holland and Walter Rose. Shane has numerous aunts, Michelle and Aubrey Wright, Akylla and Shaun Mills, and Nikki Hamm, Linda Jeter, Stephanie and James Wallace, Teresa and James Smith, Deborah and Gregory Rice, Glenna Eubank; uncles, Tommy and Patty Gibson, Ronnie, James, and Michael Jones, Tony Holland; Shane also has many special family members including, his cousins from all four families. He love his special cousin, Dominic Folden Wright so much, and Danielle Eubank, along with MiMi, Nakylla, and Taniyah. He also loved his Kroger and Sheetz families, but more than anyone, his best friend, Amber Whedon, kitten, Joey and “lil bro”, Naz. A service celebrating Shane’s life will be held 11:00am Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Simpson Funeral Home on Peters Creek Road with Pastor Hilton Jeffreys officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery will he will be laid to rest near his grandfather, and great grandparents. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday November 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
