Mary Ellen "Nanna" Grogan, 72, went to her eternal resting place, November 17, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1944 to the late Joseph Edward Grogan & Thelma Lyle Grogan. In addition, she was preceded in death by her children, Denny Wayne Chisom and Mary Chevelle Chisom Hall; her husband Jack Lewis Robertson.
She retired from ITT Night Vision in 2011, with 35 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending NASCAR races, and shopping. In July, 2016 she lost her beloved pit bull Jubell; Jubell was her companion and protector whom she missed very much. Left to cherish her memories are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kristina & RT Patterson, Jamie & Dustin McCraw, Haley, Joseph, and Larkin Patterson, Jaylyn & Jordyn-Marie Owens, Riley and Skylar McCraw; her brother Earl Grogan & wife Linda; special niece Pam Simmons (Carl).
The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Q. Raza, Richfield Rehab, and Good Samaritan Hospice. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
