I was sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Please take comfort from the Bible’s promise of a resurrection at John 5:28 & 29. The bible gives us the wonderful prospect of seeing our loved ones again on a paradise earth. At Psalms 37:9-11 & 29, it gives us the hope of living forever on a paradise earth with our loved ones. It will be a time when Isaiah 33:24 will take place and “no resident will say ‘I am sick.” On this paradise earth, Rev. 21:4 promises us that “death will be no more.” I know this may not relieve your deep grief at this time, but please take faith in God’s promises. I would like to share additional comforting scriptures with you, if you are interested, please email me at obxclarks@yahoo.com

I will miss Bill. He was one of my regular and faithful volunteers for tending to the feeders at Woodpecker Ridge Nature Center. He was always ready to go above and beyond what was expected and I knew he would be there when he was scheduled. I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. I wish more of us were like him. A true inspiration. I especialy enjoyed seeing him at the annual bird seed sale each fall because he always had a great story to tell about the hawk migration and was always thrilled to have been involved in whatever happened.

We have so many fond memories with Bill. We helped him at the Wednesday Harvey's Knob Hawkwatch for years. It was some of the best times of our lives. He was truly a good person and we will miss him.

We will miss Bill at the Harvey's Knob Hawkwatch where he faithfully served as official counter during the fall hawk migration. Always ready with a joke, willing to teach individuals and groups about hawks, and ready to be a jolly guide to the many visitors on the parkway, he will be irreplaceable. His records are a permanent part of the data collected by the Hawk Migration Association of North America. We are sure that all at Harvey's Knob join us in extending our deepest sympathy to Bill's family.

My family and I remember Mr. Grant with very fond memories. My mother was his friend when they studied music at college and my brothers and I knew him at Glenvar High School during the 80's and early 90's. We remember him as one of the most popular teachers and leader of the Beatlemania Club at GHS. We hold a high regard for him as a teacher and musician. We will miss him and want to convey our deepest sympathy to his family.

Bill touched our lives like a ray of sunshine. We'll miss him at our bird club meetings, events and Harvey's Knob and will remember the many interesting programs he provided our club. We will miss the up close and personal bird pictures he captured with his camera and shared. Without his lively leadership and talent, the Community Band concerts will never be the same for us. We treasure the memories of his friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Uncle Wilbur you were the best. You made band so much fun and treated us like your own kids. Such fond memories of a wonderful, caring and loving man. God bless your family and may they feel the strength and loving arms of God around them at this time and the days to come. What a wonderful man that will be remembered for his talent and loving compassion that he showed to others. We were truly blessed to have you in our lives.

What will we all do without you, Bill? You meant so much to so many people. We never heard you speak anything but kind words, no matter what the situation. You will be missed more than you could ever know.
