Obituary of Neville Edward Wheeling

Neville Edward Wheeling 81 of Roanoke passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday November 10, 2016 when cancer won. He was preceded by his mother, Celestia Wheeling Woolwine, father, Garland Wheeling, and a son, Michael Scott Wheeling. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Barbara Wheeling; daughter, Vicki Lynn Hobson; son, Dennis Dwayne Wheeling; “Pa” is survived by his two grandchildren, Kelli Paige Hobson, and grandson, Scott Dwayne Wheeling; great grandchildren, Brody and Pyper Wheeling, and their mother, Tiffany Wheeling; a brother, Pete Woolwine and his family of Indiana; and a brother-in-law, Sonny Tinsley and wife Susan and their families. After serving in the United States Navy, he worked at the Veterans Hospital and retired after 35 years of service as a Dialysis Tech. His life revolved around the love he had for his family. The family extends a very special appreciation to Dr. Mark Currie, Dr. John Daugherty, and Heartland Hospice for their constant and devoted care. In lieu of flowers, give a book and a hug to a child.
