Gordon Lee Cole, 70, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, retired after 33 years with CVS drugs and a former employee of the Roanoke City Police Department. Gordon is survived by wife Dreama Cole; children, Dana Tiller and husband Gary, Leigh Cole, and Joe Cole and wife Gwen; grandchildren, Amber Tiller, Ashley Tiller, and Nora Cole; sister, Dorothy Bruggerman; brother, Jeff Cole and wife Mary. In lieu of flowers the family request that you visit a veteran or a donation to Amvets. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Services will be conducted, Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Ell officiating. Interment will follow services at 2 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin Virginia. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
