Odell Patton Hall, 88, of Salem, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. Odell was preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Susie Patton of Galax, Va., and her beloved husband who she supported throughout his years of service to the Church of Christ, Chester L. Hall. She is survived by son Terry L. Hall and wife Carolyn; daughters, Sheila Mabry and husband Terry, Camilla Gladden and husband Joe; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, W.A. Patton Jr., and wife Betty, Frank Patton and wife Mary Rose; sisters, Wilma Showalter, Hazel Montgomery, and Millie Bullins and husband Gene. The family would like give a special thanks to Home Instead and Gentle Shepard Hospice, as well as caregivers Kristin Gibb and Betty Conner. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 1:30-3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. The service will follow at 3 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Whitley officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
