John E. Moomaw, 67, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2016. John was preceded in death by his parents Thurston S. and Ruth M. Moomaw. John is survived by daughters, Joanna McCrudy & husband Chase, and Melanie Moomaw; brother, Mike Moomaw; grandson, Benjamin McCrudy; nephew, Mark Moomaw; niece, Amy Stone & husband Taylor; aunt, Edna M. Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haymakertown Cemetery, care of Annie C. Watson at 200 The Glebe Blvd. Apartment 2014 Daleville, Va. 24083. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Haymakertown Cemetery, with Pastor Kenneth Lane Officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
