James Pierce "Jim" Dalton, 88, of Salem, Va. went to be with our Heavenly Father Monday, September 19, 2016. Jim served the Trucking Industry with a passion all of his life. He was a very intelligent man and always had the best stories. We will greatly miss him and hearing of his adventures.
He leaves behind his wife, best friend and soulmate, Charlene Smith Dalton who loves and adores him; sisters, brothers and spouses along with five beloved sons, Mickey, Steve, Dale, Tony, Keith and their wives. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Salem Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastors Michael Johnston and Eddie Boothe. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery Botetourt County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
