Robert John Reeser, Sr. (renamed Yankee by his wife, and aka Pawnkee by his grandchildren), 83, passed away Saturday September 10, 2016. He was preceded in death earlier this year by his wife of 63 years, Iva Royall Reeser.
Surviving are Yankee’s family of three sons, Robert Reeser, Jr. (Charlotte), Steven (Christina), and Michael (Lisa), one daughter, Janice Heideloff (David): thirteen grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, John, Rachel, Rebekah, Lily, Justin, Nathan, Gretchen, April, Evie, Shannon and Erin; nieces, Natalie, Daphne and Amy, and eight great grandchildren who will all greatly miss his wit and humor. Dad we hope you are finally comfortable.
The family will hold a private family gathering at a later date. Memorials can be made to Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 6045 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA, 24019.
