Robert “Bob” Tankesley 74 of Vinton went to be with the Lord on Friday September 9, 2016. He was preceded by his parents, Beverly Eisenberger and husband Harry, and Carl Tankesley, stepparents, Louise and Frank Richardson. His son, Michael Tankesley, and a great grandson, Ryden. Left to cherish his memory are “the wife”, Edie Tankesley; daughters, Bobbie Lokey and husband Troy of Valdosta, GA. and Lisa Campbell and husband Randy of Vinton; grandchildren, Lewis, Chad, and Ryan Cochrane, Robert and Rachel Campbell, and Jessica Lokey; brothers, Jere Tankesley and wife Doris of Lancaster, PA, Randy Tankesley and wife Angel, and Carl Tankesley and wife Anna all of Maryland; and sisters, Linda Pfeil and husband David of Maryland, and Jerry Tangert of PA. Along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends. A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held 1:00pm Friday September 16, 2016 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Adam McDaniel officiating. Inurnment will be private.
