Annette Lousie Young 73 of Roanoke, formerly of Rock Island, Il., went to be with the Lord on Friday September 9, 2016. Ms. Young worked many years in the health care profession as a RN. in Iowa before moving to Roanoke working in Camelot Hall Nursing Home. After leaving nursing, she enjoyed becoming a welder. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and was an avid “Trecky”. All will dearly miss a very loving, caring selfless person who touched many lives in a very positive way. Left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, John Mark Young, Benjamin Andrew Young, and Matthew Stropes; a dear friend, Betty Caldwell; her feline companion, “Boots”, along with a host of many other friends. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Local Office on Aging in her memory. A memorial service celebrating Ms. Young’s life will be held 11:00am Wednesday September 14, 2016 in Simpson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for an hour before service from 10:00 until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
