Obituary of Lenora Jane Holley

Lenora Jane Holley, 72, was freed from her pain on Tuesday September 6, 2016, at her home in Salem, VA. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Durward and Margaret Cunningham, loving Uncle Clarence and Aunt Virginia Ferguson, and beloved maternal grandmother Lula Ferguson. She retired from Richfield Community in 2000 after working for many years to improve the lives of seniors and the disabled. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-one years, Charlie Ray Holley; her son and his family, Richard and Laura, Katherine, Lillian, and Penn Holley; her daughter and her family, George and Debbie, Kyle, Carleigh, and Emma Studtmann; her three cherished cousins, Bette Weber, Donna (Jim) McCrumb, and Judith Clifford. She married into a large family and was blessed in life with a loving mother-in-law, Virginia Holley, brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Donnie and Barbara Dunbar, Wayne and Barbara Holley, Tommy and Ruth Holley, Luther and Janet McGhee, and numerous nephews and nieces who will miss their “Aunt No”. Her pain and suffering are no more, and we will rejoice in the comfort she now finds in her Savior. The family will receive friends Thursday September 8, 2016 from 600-8:00 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. A celebration to honor Lenora’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday September 9, 2016 at Grace Church, 2731 Edgewood Street SW, Roanoke Va. 24015.
