Marilyn Corrine Brown Tarbox, 76, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Marilyn was born on June 24, 1935, to the late Lloyd and Helen Brown of Rochester, NY. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Paul, her five children, son's David Justis, Scott Justis, & son Michael, and her daughters Helen (Peggy) Ripley, Robin Smith, and her granddaughter Christine Chisholm that has been like a daughter. In addition, Marilyn is survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Mary Margaret McDermott, and brother Thomas Brown. A special thank you to Marilyn's best friend Jo Ann Chittum, the many walks together and friendship will always be cherished. The family would like to thank the employees of Medi-Home Hospice for their caring compassion in their time of need, especially Dr.Craig Mitchell and Stephanie Smith, RN. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. A graveside funeral for immediate family will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at St. Andrews Cemetery.
