Obituary of PFC Andrew Mottesheard

PFC Andrew T. Mottesheard, 20, of Roanoke passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was a 2010 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School. Andrew continued his family's tradition of serving our country by enlisting in the U S Army. At the time of his death he was at home on leave before reporting for duty at Fort Hood, Texas. He is survived by his parents, Thomas R. and Laura Bocock Mottesheard; grandparents, Billy and Lois Mottesheard, and Eva Bocock all of Roanoke. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends including the "Apple Tree Gang". In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church 402 Hershberger Road Roanoke, Va. by Pastor Steve Odell. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
