Frank Rudolph Erk 84 of Roanoke, formerly of Cliffside Park, and Maywood, NJ fought the fight but lost the battle on Tuesday July 19, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Frank was a Korean War Veteran, who served in the United States Army. He owned and operated Valleywide Enterprises with his son and worked every day up until the end.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Carol of over 58 years; his son, Frank, of NJ; and daughter, Cynthia and her husband Edward of PA; two granddaughters, Alysha (Cecilio) of NJ, and Danyel (Travis) of NC; two great grandchildren, Gianna of NJ and Hudson of NC.
Frank and Carol moved from Maywood to Roanoke, 33 years ago and made many wonderful friends who were, and are like family. His family thanks them for their continued love and support.
Abiding by Frank’s wishes, there will be no services. The family asks in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association in Frank’s memory.
