Obituary of Douglas Clinton Durham

Douglas C. "Doug" Durham, 52, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Clinton Durham; stepfather, Harold McGhee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Barbara Kilian. Doug grew up in Roanoke and was employed by the Rowe Furniture Company. He worshiped at Bethel Assembly of God where he had a wonderful church family whom he dearly loved. He was co-director of the Charis Food Pantry. The greatest loves of his life were his family and working on cars. Surviving are his wife of almost 32 years, Margee Durham; son, Ben Durham and wife, Bre; daughter, Heather Durham; mother, Kathy McGhee; sister, Debbie Hughes and husband, Kevin; brother, Steve Durham and wife, Linda; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special dog, Gracie Mae. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Bethel Assembly of God, 1683 Red Lane Extension, Salem, by Pastor David Keaton.
