Kathy D. Hartman 55 of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, George Thomas Hartman, mother, Lucille Tyree, brother, Tommy Hartman, and step father, Philip Tyree.
In years past, Kathy had served as a volunteer with the Vinton Rescue Squad.
Surviving are her brother, Jerry Lee Hartman and wife Marilyn; niece, Tammy Keaton, great niece, Michaela Keaton; and special friends, Susie, Pam and Chris.
The family offers a special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their many acts of kindness during Kathy's illness.
In lieu of flower the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
