Obituary of Virginia L. Kidd

Virginia L. Kidd 76 of Roanoke passed from her earthly life on Wednesday may 11, 2016 to be with the Lord. Her family members were at the bedside during the transition. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, David E. Kidd; two daughters, Marjorie Craighead and husband Jeff, Linda Martin and husband Alan; grandchildren, Kristin, Mellanie, John Paul, and Kyle; great grandchildren, Grace, Megan, and Natalie; sister, Patricia Collier, and a special nephew, Richard Scheg. Virginia had several different passions over the years; her last was Bible Study with close friends. Special appreciation to Amedisys Hospice staff and nurses; their care during the end of her dementia was outstanding. A special mass for family and friends will be offered by the Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Lehman at 9:00am in Our Lady of Nazareth Church on Saturday May 21, 2106 with fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
