Betty Robinson Young, 83, of Elliston went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was preceded by her husband, Silas Young Jr.; infant daughter, Deborah Young; son, Donald Wayne Edwards; mother, Elizabeth Robinson and brother, Jimmy Robinson. Mrs. Young was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church, Elliston as well as a life member of VFW Auxiliary Post # 4920 also in Elliston. She is survived by children, JoAnn Dow, Faye (Chris) Perkins and husband, Bobby, Sr., Linda Ferrell, Robert Young, Silas Young, III and wife, Pat; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Robinson and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Pauline Young. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Elliston P O Box 568 Elliston, Va. 24087. Funeral services will be conducted noon, Friday, April 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church Elliston with the Rev. Paul Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
