Obituary of Barry Lynn Feazell

Barry Lynn Feazell, 59, of Salem was called to be with the Lord early Tuesday, April 12, 2016, while surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Dorothy Feazell, sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Steve Arthur, brother, Richard Feazell and in-laws, Carl and Betty Short. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Debbie; daughters, Shelly Feazell, Tasha Feazell, Alicia Messer and husband Mason; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey, Jr. and Donna Feazell, Randy and Cathy Feazell; three brothers-in-law, David Short, James and Karen Short, Timmy and Bobbie Short; and several loving nieces, nephews, caring and special friends and neighbors, and his loyal dog, Sadie. Barry was a great man who loved his family. He was a hard working man that took pride in his trade of carpet installation. Barry was also very intelligent and loved the game of poker. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Esophageal Cancer Research or an Animal Shelter. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the many friends, family members and co-workers for their many acts of kindness and support during Barry's illness. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Brian Gordon. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
