Mary Elizabeth Hall Delp, 75, of Roanoke passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, Vivian Lee Hall, mother, Lydia Davis Hall, and two infant brothers. Mrs. Delp was a longtime and faithful member of New Life Christian Ministries. She retired from Tultex and Walmart. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, John Delp; son, Audie Delp; daughter, Andrea (Freddie) Shively; brother, Frank Hall; sisters, Zella (Ludlow) Busick, and Kathy Reed; grandchildren, Mark (Laura) Delp; Wendy (Glen) Swearengin, Monty Delp, Dwayne Delp, Breanna Wall, and Christopher Delp; great grandchildren, Payton Perkins and Tresden Delp; her last surviving aunt, Ruby Huffman; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Walter L. Wood. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
