After a courageous battle, Bonnie is peacefully once again in the arms of her beloved husband, C. Don Short (Donnie). Also welcoming her are her parents, Glenn E. Sullivan and Louise Wellman Sullivan, sister, Cindy Sullivan Pentecost, and her many fur-babies.She is survived by her loving son, Kevin Short; granddaughter, Kayla Short; daughter-in-law, Kem Short; a loving and devoted long-time companion, Bud Shriver; siblings, Glenna Gray (Jerry), Dennis Sullivan, and Brian Sullivan; many nieces and nephews, her sweet dog, Luci, and many "Critters" that she has lovingly fed over the years in her yard.Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
