Michael T. "Mike" Patrick, 56, of Vinton, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, March 29, 2016. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Prosser Patrick.Mike was a 1978 graduate of Roanoke Catholic High School and had worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company for nearly thirty years. He was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a devoted husband and loving father, who always made time to support his children at their sporting events and all aspects of their life, even if it meant cheering them on in his Coke uniform. Surviving are his loving wife of 32 years, Robin Obenchain Patrick; daughter, Kyndal Patrick; son, Jacob Patrick; father, Doug Patrick; sisters, Gail Lucas, Diane Dalpay and husband David, Kelly Elkins and husband Allen; brother, Steve Patrick; mother-in-law, Evelyn Obenchain; and a number of nieces; and nephews.A special thanks to the compassionate professionals at Lewis Gale Hospital for their support and acts of kindness during Mike's illness. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.Funeral Services will be conducted Noon on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be private. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, 540- 366-0707.
