Obituary of Ruth Moore Allen

On March 27, 2016, the Lord called Ruth Moore Allen, a dear saint of God, home to Heaven’s shores. Throughout her 92 years, she was known by many endearing names such as mom, gi gi, grandma, friend, sister, and wife. Ruth M. Allen lived up to those names and cared for others. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband George S. Allen, daughters Pat Cooper and Cecelia A. Kinder. She is survived by her son, Roger Brazerol and daughter, Leiauanna Allen; grandchildren, Theresa and Lee, Chuck and Cindy, Cindy H., Christy and Mark, Chris, Sandra and Oscar, Rhonda and Yogi, Randy and Barbie, and Nicole, as well as numerous great-grandchildren whose lives she has touched. We are forever grateful for her presence in our lives. Years ago this poem was penned and it is still true today. “With mama’s smile and daddy’s prayers, I knew God must really care, To send them my way, Give me a much brighter day, With their smiles and prayers.” Today this lady is in the presence of her King, and would want others to be ready so that God can call them to Heaven’s shores. A special thank you to Debbie, Stephanie, and Amanda from Valley Nephrology, as well as Gentle Shepherd Hospice, and also to the loving caretakers, Kim, Erica, and Janet. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
