Robert Lewis Hall, 87, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 13, 2016. Lewis attended the Roanoke Valley Baptist Temple, and was a truck driver who received numerous safe driving awards. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Laura B. Hall; parents, Charlie and Mary Hall; brother, Charlie Hall Jr.; sisters, Ruby Bryant, Elizabeth Lusk, and Louise Fuller.
Surviving are sister, Betty Adams; children, Robert E. Hall and wife, Linda, and Deborah James and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Robert S. Hall, Byron Whitt and wife, Tracy, Matthew Whitt and wife, Lauren, Laura W. Underwood and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and David Whilhelm, and Paisley Whitt; extended family Twiligh (Bo) Lawson and husband, Mike; Sharon Richmond and husband, Wayne, Micheal Barnes, Beverly, Bobby Knapp, Tommy, Jimmy, and David Bryant; as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Robert’s name. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Simpson Funeral Home with services being held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
